Ransomware attack on OneBlood systems

A ransomware attack on OneBlood took place on July 29th, 2024. OneBlood is a not-for-profit blood center serving parts of the southeastern United States. The attack impacted its computer software lowering their capacity in Georgia, Florida, and the Carolinas. Over 250 hospitals were asked to use their emergency blood shortage plans and were doing so manually due to the system being out of service during the attack. OneBlood is slowly getting their systems back up and running but they are still doing some things manually for the time being. They are investigating the details of the attack but still have no answers.
